Cello has launched their brand new range of smart, Android TVs, developed in partnership with Google. The Bishop Auckland based electronics firm, and last remaining LED TV manufacturer in the UK, worked closely with Google to develop an exclusive range of smart TVs, which come with Google Assistant, Chromecast and Google Play Store all built in to one device, straight out of the box.
Arm Nvidia
NVIDIA and SoftBank Group have signed a definitive agreement under which NVIDIA will acquire Arm from SBG and the SoftBank Vision Fund (SoftBank) in a transaction valued at $40 billion.
Dixons-Carphone
EE is the latest carrier to cut ties with Dixons Carphone, withdrawing its tariffs from the retailer and leaving Vodafone, Voxi and Virgin Media as Dixons Carphone’s remaining network partners, while the company also has its own ‘iD’ MVNO, powered by Three’s infrastructure.
Asda Mobile
Vodafone has been selected by Asda as the new network for its Asda Mobile MVNO. In a five-year exclusive deal, Asda Mobile customers will benefit from Vodafone’s 4G and 5G coverage, unlimited mobile data plans, Wi-Fi calling and other benefits, such as family discounts.
Google Pixel 4a
Google launched the Pixel 4a back in August, and the mid-range smartphone is is now available to pre-order on O2, ahead of it going on sale on 1st October. The Pixel 4a has a 4.5% bigger screen than its predecessor but its body is 5.8% smaller overall. At only 144mm in length, 69.4mm in width, 8.8mm in thickness and weighing 143g, the Pixel 4a is one of the smallest phones you can buy in 2020.
Protect Scotland App
Smartphone users across Scotland are being urged to download NHS Scotland’s new contact tracing app - Protect Scotland - to help suppress the spread of COVID-19. Supported by a dedicated Protect Scotland website, the app is an extra tool complementing existing person-to-person contact tracing.

BlackBerry is now providing dedicated EU instances of its BlackBerry AtHoc service, enabling customers to comply with EU data protection regulations and prepare for the upcoming Public Warning directives by localising personal data in additional data centres located in the Netherlands and France, as well as the existing one in the UK.
