O2 has unveiled a new experimental store format in partnership with retailer, NEXT. The pilot, known by O2 as Shop-in-Shop, will see four new O2 stores opened within NEXT stores across the country, with ambitions to roll out more widely in the coming months.

Huawei is more trusted by the UK public than Facebook, according to the results of a UK consumer survey conducted by Censuswide. The survey examined attitudes towards the big messaging platform providers (i.e. Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp), as well as wider consumer trust in the technology sector.
O2 5G
O2 today turned on 5G in Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, London, Slough and Leeds with a promise to have 20 total locations by the end of 2019. It offers four 5G phones, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G, Samsung Galaxy A90 5G and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G.
At an event in Paris today, Huawei announced the launch of the European version of the Huawei nova 5T. Available next month, the nova 5T is the first Huawei phone available in the UK with a hole punch display à la Samsung’s Galaxy S10 series. The device boasts a 6.26-inch LCD display with a 1080p resolution.
Samsung is officially rolling out the first Android 10-based One UI 2.0 beta for Galaxy S10 phones in the UK.  Owners of a Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, S10e, or S10 5G can sign up for the beta program using their Samsung account.
BT has announced that it will launch 5G mobile network services in 20 towns and cities across the UK this Friday (October 11). They include Cardiff, Birmingham, Belfast, Bristol, Coventry, Leicester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Liverpool, Hull, Sheffield, Leeds and Newcastle.

O2 has joined the rest of the UK's main carriers and launched unlimited data plans of its own. These start from £33 per month on an 18-month SIM-only plan, or can be had for £35 per month on a 12-month SIM plan and with variable pricing alongside select handsets.
