China Mobile has brought Huawei's 5G distributed Massive MIMO solution to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport to build the first Gigabit 5G airport in China. The field tests showed that the user-perceived rate across the check-in areas exceeded 1 Gbps, with the single-user rate increasing by 26% on average over common 5G networks up to a peak of 1.25 Gbps.

Huawei is more trusted by the UK public than Facebook, according to the results of a UK consumer survey conducted by Censuswide. The survey examined attitudes towards the big messaging platform providers (i.e. Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp), as well as wider consumer trust in the technology sector.
The US justice department has filed charges against Chinese company Huawei.  A 13-count indictment was unsealed in New York charging Huawei, two of its affiliates and a senior executive at the company. The charges include bank fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

The consumer watchdog in Singapore has contacted the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) to discuss  possible actions that could be taken against Huawei for a controversial smartphone promotion that led to angry scenes at its stores across Singapore.
A Huawei discount phone promotion in Singapore for a $54 phone has backfired causing shops to be shuttered and one indignant shopper arrested. The Chinese company promoted that its Huawei Y6 Pro 2019 model would be discounted from S$198 to $54 for consumers aged over 50 for three days beginning last Friday.

Huawei has launched a beta of their streaming video service "Huawei Video" in Europe. The service is currently available in China, Italy and Spain and Huawei are now opening a beta of the service in the UK, France ,Germany, Poland, Turkey, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Sweden.
