Huawei has officially launched its 10.8-inch MatePad Pro, Huawei's Kirin 990 SoC, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, a 10.8-inch 2560 x 1600 LCD screen with 540-nit brightness, up to 512GB of internal storage, a 13MP f/1.8 rear camera, and a 7,250 mAh battery with fast charging.

Microsoft has been granted a license from the U.S. government to export software to Huawei. The Donald Trump Administration on Wednesday gave Huawei its second 90 day reprieve this week, allowing some suppliers to restart sales to Huawei after it was placed on a trade blacklist over national security concerns six months ago.

Back in October,  Huawei launched its foldable Mate X smartphone and the device is now available to buy in China. The Mate X, which unfolds to 5.8 inches wide, went on sale Friday on Huawei´s online store in China priced at 16,999 yuan (£1,900 / $2,422). Those who did not manage to buy a Mate X on Friday will get another chance on 22 November when a second batch will go on sale.

Huawei is giving $389 million in cash rewards to staff helping it weather a US trade blacklisting. A company announcement circulated Tuesday on social media said 90,000 employees will share 2 billion yuan ($389 million), or about 22,000 yuan ($3,100) each. Huawei's 180,000-member workforce also will receive an extra month's salary.
