The US Department of Commerce has issued a licence allowing US companies to keep doing business with Huawei for the next three months. The company now has a Temporary General License to engage with U.S. vendors on a limited basis.
Google has revoked Huawei's Android license, restricting Huawei from some updates to Android. The company has suspended business with Huawei that requires the transfer of hardware and software products except those covered by open source licenses.
President Trump has issued an executive order giving his administration sweeping powers to block Huawei and other foreign communications firms from doing business in the United States.
Huawei is to build a 400-person chip research and development factory outside Cambridge, in the heart of the UK’s silicon chip industry and just a 15-minute drive from the headquarters of Arm Holdings.

Huawei has filed a lawsuit against the United States government over a provision (Section 889) to the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that effectively bans all US government agencies from using products manufactured by the company (as well as ZTE), over spying concerns.

Huawei opened their Cyber Security Transparency Centre today in Brussels, with over 200 representatives from regulators, telecom carriers, enterprises, and the media attending the event. Representatives from the European Union, the GSMA, and the World Economic Forum spoke at the opening ceremony.
